Here are some links to the various sites that we think are good. If they aren't, blame our bad taste. 3D Cafe: 3D Cafe has a whole bunch of resources for 3D artwork and animation. A must see for anyone with Lightwave or 3DS. Flay.com: A huge website with a heck of a lot of tutorials, links, plugins, and reviews. We learned what few tricks we know from this site, but our software is getting a little outdated by the new versions popping-up left and right. Artbeats: A good special effects website. Go there to get various images and over-priced software. VCE: A more friendly site with special effects images and much more reasonably priced stuff. Newtek: The creators of Lightwave, Inspire, and Video Toaster. Ambrosia Software: The producers of EV: Nova. Download the game or peruse the webboards. Evula.com: A website with information about EV: Nova, including a survival guide, stories, trade routes, mission strings, and a load of other sometimes useful information. Upcoming Plug-in Directory: A list of upcoming plug-ins for EV: Nova. Everything from minor additions to total conversions can be found here. This site also contains links to plug-in websites and progress logs. EV-Nova.net: Another EV: Nova website with lots of wonderful links in addition to a fact of the day and headlines. About Babylon 5, Crusade, and Straczynski: A general site with a lot of information about B5 and our source for inside information. Alternate Perspective Online: The website of the likes of Kier Darby, creator of the White Star clone and the jumppoint models. You can also find a Thunderbolt, a lot of very good tutorials, and some other models, pictures, and movies. B53D Page: Fabio Passaro's website. I don't quite get him, sometimes he comes out with great models and meshes, but other times they don't look good at all. Whatever. Beyond Babylon: Originally the Babylon 5 Modellers' Guild, the current website is ever so slowly being built. Until then, there's really not much there. B5 Animations: Just that. A lot of good animations but with a rather, shall we say, on-and-off interface. Babylon 5: The Place to Be: THE BEST models collection for any B5 modeller along with a great deal of ship, historical, and xenobiological information and a lot of great images and downloads. Chris Franke at Sonic Images: The website of one of my favorite contemporary composers. Epsilon Jumpgate: A great CGI site with the best model out there of the Centauri Vorchan, but I haven't seen any updates in a while. Parallax 3D: Another Lightwave guy with good images and great models. SCIFI-ART: This is a great resource for any computer artist, but especially for those using 3D Studio, for whom there are a lot of models. This is also the best place to get Trek models that I've found. Babylon 5 at Scifi Channel: Here you can find various data and a forum for speaking about whatever you want. The Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5: The best information and links for Babylon 5 fans. You can find pretty much anything about the episodes, characters, and the people behind-the-scenes. The Music of Babylon 5: A great resource for sampling the works of Chris Franke or Evan Chen. Slow server, though. The War Room: Not the best at updates, but good with models, you can find a good selection of stuff. Look out for their Dark Rage movie, which supposedly is coming out soon. Tigerclaw's Sci-Fi Pages: A very helpful person runs this site and has forums, images, and movies from most any sci-fi show you can name. CG-Domain: Craig A. Clark's website with his astounding Babylon 6 model. I only wish I could find a use for it. EON 3D Graphics: Nadab Göksu's incredible page of images, movies, and the best B5 clone models on the web. He seems to like the bad-guys and the Narn, for some reason. Wombat Control: An, hmm… interesting website with a lot of images and a rather odd feel to everything. World War Central: I don't know why its called that, but it is. A very good model of the Omega-X Destroyer, and very good artwork. The models listing is, as of late, more complete than even Holger Barton's at The Place to Be. Down Below Sound Archive for Babylon 5: A very good and thorough database of sound from every episode and movie of Babylon 5, as well as bloopers and remixes. |
